Oh congrats Red, that's great news! Can't be many people left on the NZ alternates list now ay. Anyone heard how rosec's doing?

Now uni's finished I've managed to start ticking things off the to-do list! And I've heard from another JET who'll be living in my town, so that's pretty sweet. Just over a month to go guys!

Congratulations Red! That's awesome news.... I'm happy it's finally happened for you!

Yeah, I'm still here Nats, just been keeping quiet with my alternate status still ticking along...... Kind of stopped thinking about JET now, although I know upgrades are still happening and can happen anytime, it seems so much more unlikely now. Thinking about my plan B..... maybe India, Nepal, Sri Lanka (for a holiday, not for work). And waiting for the snow so I can go skiing...... 8)

I wouldn't give up Rosec20 it will happen for you i am sure. Upgrades are occurring at the moments so i am sure you will too. Theres still lots of time as group C does not go till the 24th of august so you have tons of time. Just think positive.

Woohoo for more Kiwis! :D
Congrats to all of you coming our way in about a month's time
Good luck to those waiting for upgrades!
I was an Alternate myself 2 years ago, and was so surprised that I didn't know what to do when I got an email saying "congratulations you have been upgraded!" one day.

Looking forward to seeing some of you in Japan :!:

Hey, sorry to bump your thread, but are there any CIR's on here that would be willing to take a look at my SOP? Im applying as an NZ citizen for the 2012 intake and could really use some help.

Hey just thought I should give this thread a bump for all of us who are interviewing for 2012- seems to be enough of us around for our own thread!
Hope all the Christchurch and Wellington interviews went well and I hope the upper north islanders are hanging in there with the Auckland interviews this week!

Hey! I was interviewed in Wellington and think it went well overall. Now there is just the wait till mid April - is it? It is going to feel like a long time before the results I think haha.

Yes hopefully it will be a 'yay' rather than 'nay' for us haha. My interview went real well except for the grammar section, I wish I had slowed down a bit more on it, but oh well what's done is done I guess. I saw you wrote on the Interviews thread that personality is probably more important for what they are after so that made me feel a bit better and hopefully will be the case - fingers crossed!

Hey everyone :)
Auckland interviewee here. I must admit, my interview did not go as well as I had hoped. I guess my nerves got the better of me, and a few questions caught me off guard. Now that this dreaded part is over, it is all out of our hands and we can all just hope for the best :). I wish all of you luck and let the wait go on... :)

Well kiwis it's March already! How's the waiting game playing out for you? Has anyone opting for early departure had any good news?

Hiya, everyone!
Amazed to see so many Kiwis here, and so many of you are accepted for 2012! Congratulations to those who are, and best of luck to those still waiting. (:

I wasn't sure where to post an introduction-type thing, and this seems like as good a place as any, so here goes:
I'm Valerie, but everyone calls me Eevee.
I'm going to be finishing up my degree (Classics and Philosophy) this year, and will be applying for 2013. I know I'm here way early, but I really want to get a feel for how things work over the next seven months before I have to send my application it.

Once again, congrats to this year's successful applicants!

Unless you're talking about the ED, the majority of people are still waiting to find out if they got accepted. :?
