The Melbourne consulate is definitely mailing it out (but I wouldn't mind if they changed their mind and decided to email :p)

Haha, I keep refreshing the forum, trying to see if anyone has received it, as I'm at work and have to wait till each evening to check the mailbox.

For those of you who applied through the Melbourne Consulate, I emailed Melissa Morris this morning, and she replied saying they are stuffing letters and sending them out today.

She did however say she was given permission yesterday to give the results out to people over the phone if they wish to call.

Needless to say, I called...

Congrats! Out of interest, where are you currently? As I know Melbourne handles multiple interview locations. I interviewed in Adelaide. Wondered if we'd meet in June at the Adelaide orientation, or perhaps just in Tokyo

Wahh!!! I've been sooooooooooo doki doki the past few weeks. It's such a relief!

Congrats to everyone shortlisted/on the alternate list so far!
And to anyone who didn't get through, chin up! There's always next year, and who knows what will happen between now and then (I missed out last year but ended up having an amazing time in Tibet and Nepal)!

Also thanks RoninX3ph for updating on where the Melb consulate is at with results*... I'm another Melbourne hopeful. Call me old fashioned but I think I'll wait for the letter (in case it's bad news!) I'm getting a nervous twitch, but gaman suruyo!

Shortlisted from Hobart (through the Melbourne consulate).

So glad they are accepting phonecalls - apparently they are stuffing the letters today so if you are waiting for the post then it will be tomorrow or the day after.
