Japan wall sockets polarized?

Hey guys i was wondering if houses in Japan have their power sockets polarized (one hole bigger than the other). I was wondering specifically for the shikoku area...

Yeah i did the search too. I read the website but it says one may see non polarized. That's why i wasn't too sure. I'm in the hardware store looking for adapters. Very cheap but i can't find any stores that carry the non polarized.

Try posting in your prefectures thread in the regional information forum too. Someone there might be able to help, as they live in the area.

in all honestly, at least where i live, you're more likely to be plugging things into power strips rather than wall sockets, so as long as you buy a power strip with polarized sockets, you should be good to go.

i think you'll find both polarized and non polarized, depending on the age of the house, where older houses will have higher chance of having non-polarized sockets. i've found that is the case with really old houses in my home country as well.

Those adapters are only 69 cents in home depot in case anyone else was looking for adapters.
