Anyway, I'd definitely be interested in meeting up with some of you prior to departure, but I'm located in Indiana, so I probably would not be able to make it all the way to Chicago unless there was a meeting planned to coincide with the pre-departure orientation or something. If anyone else from Indiana is on the boards, though, let me know!

June is actually perfect, graduations would/should be over and I'd have way too much time on my hands

Hey, I live in Oshkosh, WI right now, and it would be awesome to have a meet up in June. Early (ish) June would be great, and if there is anyone near Oshkosh or between Oshkosh and Chicago, how does car pooling and hanging out that way sound too? I'd be down to pick of someone along the way, or just in general meet up if anyone would like too. Milwaukee is about an hour away, so a trip there is always easy for me.

It'd be nice to meet some people that will be near where ever I am in Japan. So please, if you are near Oshkosh or Chicago let me know.

Well, I'm an alternate but I figured I should say hello anyhow. Just in case, you know? I went to DePaul and desperately miss Chicago, but I'm up in Milwaukee for now. Just until the end of May though. If I do get upgraded and we do have a meet-up I would be totally down with late May/early June. My parents live in the suburbs, so they love any excuse I make to visit them.

Any suggestions? There are some amazing restaurants in the Lincoln Park area that I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy. I'll definitely ask other people from Chicago to see if they want to join.

I'm not sure what type of food people are down for, but if it's American I would love some Chicago-style pizza, so good.
If everyone is down for Japanese, I've been to Gyu-Kaku in LA and it was pretty legit, have you been to the one in Chicago?
I'm not really familiar with local restaurants in Chicago. I trust your suggestions!

I interviewed in Houston but I'm originally from Indy so I'll be flying out of Chicago with y'all so that I can see the family and convince them all that I am not going to a.) be killed in earthquake/tsunami/Godzilla attack b.) return home glowing with radiation or c.) be killed by crazy North Koreans.

Sadly I can't make any pre-departure meet and greets as I'm in TX (hell, I don't even get to make the TX meet and greets. Damn you Austin!!!) but I wish everybody the best of luck in packing and prep as crunch time draws ever closer!
