ah, missed your post when I posted mine...May 18 is okay for me, but it's a Friday, so IDK how that is for everyone. June is fine for me pretty much any weekend, I think! Earlier would probably be better since everyone will come back on 6/30 for orientation. Also, Saturdays are not very good unless it's nighttime, which probably won't work for most people!

So how about May 19 or June 9?

The list of dates I gave were all Fridays because I meant to say "the weekend of xx date." Saturday is a much better day for everyone, and I am free all of those Saturdays I listed.

I have two friends visiting from New Orleans during May 19-20-26-27-28. And the three of us are already doing our NYC trip on the 26th*... so I'll likely be in DC the 19/20th. I'm not completely out for that day, though; I know they wanted to visit NYC more than once. Would friends be invited?

*Off-Topic, but do any of you NYC dwellers know of a bus or other cheap method of transportation [ie, cheaper than cab/Amtrak] that can get three hicks to either Philadelphia PA or Edgewater NJ, leaving 11:00pm or later? Chinatown Bus and BOLT don't leave that late... ;_;. Or, a cheap hotel that is NOT infested with beg begs? X:

Any chance of the Sundays of those weekends? IDK how Sundays are for you guys...I teach from 9:30-5:15 on Saturdays, which makes things tricky! Maybe that Sunday of June 10? Does that work?

Also, omnom, have you checked megabus? I feel like they have late schedules... also, bedbugs are sooo 2010. Haven't heard anything about bedbugs in New York for literally over 2 years.. I think they've cleaned their act up.

oh - and omnom - everyone I know who goes to Philadelphia uses the Megabus! I think they do have late schedules. IDK where Edgewater is, but if it's not on NJTransit, probably some kind of megabus type thing, too!

MegaBus totally did the trick, and for only $3/ticket more than China Town... thanks! They have a 1:15am, which works well with enough coffee. My friends really wanted to see The Lion King, but we're all on a budget, so that meant back-row seats at the 8pm show. Of course, this will be my third time seeing the thing, but that's okay.

I'd be surprised if there weren't already a New York JET Facebook page? I feel silly for not having looked before...
