Hey, congrats those who got shortlisted, but could I just ask a tiny favour?

Could you all not go please? Nothing personal, just want a seat on that plane.

Thanks,

xx

I put in x's and was very polite, so you'd only be rude to ignore my request.

Hi... Little bit late to the party, but I just discovered this board today. I'm short listed, and look forward to meeting my fellow future JETs. Best of luck to all alternates! :D

Congrats to all the Irish short listers! And good luck to the alternates! I am a US short lister but my family is from/in Ireland (Co. Louth) so I just want to say I'm looking forward to meeting some of you!

Hey Siobhán! Welcome! Where are you based? I'm also shortlisted, my name is Róisín. So excited but really really really nervous also. Did you make any placement requests?

Thanks RoBot.
It seems like the other short ists in other countries are already organising meet ups. After my semester is over we should all definitely try and get together before July :)

Hi Guys!!

Made the shortlist woop!! It still doesn't feel real! I definitely second the plan to meet up before July. We could possibly set up a facebook group for the Irish JETs to keep in contact etc??

Also, fingers crossed for the Alternatives xx

Definately! Priorities now: 1. Get all the paperwork in 2. Power through this final semester and ACE my degree haha. 3. Get more hours from work so I can afford to live in Japan for the first month!

I am finished up end of May- can't believe it! After getting my results yesterday it has suddenly dawned on me that I have a month left till my finals... ERK! Panic stations once again!

Hey all, just wondering whether there is anyone from Northern Ireland here, and if you have heard anything yet?
I receieved an email from Naomi yesterday, saying that the letters had been sent out. In anticipation I rushed home from work to check my mail. Upon arrival I discovered a note from royal mail. It stated that they'd tried to deliver an envelope, though as it was too large for my letterbox it had been returned to their sorting office. Frustrated that my fate had once again been suspended I decided to leave early and collect it before work the next day. So today I left the house half an hour earlier than usual and drove to the sorting office. Upon handing the chap the delivery note I received a large envelope - addressed to my sister... Will this torture ever end!?
