I need confirmation here....do you really fill in the two workshop outlines based off 2 of the 3 you have to select as others have said?
As...looking at my predecessor's app for the orientation his two presentation outlines are on totally different topics....and why only 2 and not 3?

to weed out the people who don't read the instructions? They're written pretty clearly on the application form for anyone to read. And in English too! And when you consider that ALT presentations are to be conducted in English, it'd be a pretty safe bet that they'd want people who understand English to present. So for the ones who can't read the form, they probably won't be able to read any further instructions, and fail miserably at being a TOA.

I don't think anyone's said the based off 2 of the 3 bit. As for the why only 2... A better question would be "why would anyone want to read through even MORE outlines than they had to?" I think it'd be reasonable to assume that if two of your outlines are consistent in quality, any other outlines would be comparable in quality.

Um, you did.

Yes, presentation outlines are for everyone. The TOAs help out with the workshops apparently.

Yes, outlines based on the topics given in the tick boxes on the form.

Okay, maybe I'm being a bit stupid and somehow overlooking this information, but for the presenation outlines, does it matter if they overrun onto a second page? Or are they expecting a very brief outline that fits perfectly into the boxes they provide, and no more?

Thank you!

Hi, Jersey-
The TOA Application form has the outline instructions:

``※WORKSHOP OUTLINE: All ALTs and CIRs must attach two Outline Forms to their application, detailing the workshop content they intend to present for one CLAIR/MEXT workshop AND one AJET workshop from the lists below. (Please use the one-page Outline Forms provided and limit each workshop description to that one page.)``

This is a really cool opportunity, but make sure you give yourself enough time to read all of the application/information sheets thoroughly, so you can confidently submit your completed app and outlines. By limiting it to one page, this is also kind of a test to see how well we plan and concise we can be!

Good luck!

Ah thanks! I was sure I read that somewhere previously but then I couldn't find it again ... I will attempt to be concise now. :D

OK, I'm filling in the form by typing straight in to it, but I'd really like to fit in a little bit more than these boxes allow..

Is making the font size smaller permitted?

I cant see anything about this on the forms, so if someone could kindly answer would most appreciate it!

Just an FYI, the PCs on the JETline can probably give quicker and faster and more officially correct answers  . The number is 03.5213.1729.
