Question about the Application Process? READ!!

So I see that the application is now live. However, I'm not understanding how to go about creating a pin and password to register. There's no link or button for new users to create a pin. Does anyone know how to register, so I can access the application?

Just a quick question - the application process calls for photocopies of things like my university transcript, passport and so on. Do these have to be colour photocopies or is black and white adequate? The checklist doesn't specify.

Unless specified, it doesn't matter. Just be sure that all of the information is clear and easy to read.

It would go under number 27 (International / Intercultural Experience) in the Prior Experience section.

Hello! I have a a couple questions:


1. Regarding college transcripts: I am graduated but I have attended 3 colleges. I have my transcripts from the college I graduated from and that includes classes transferred credits from the other school. But the transferred credits do not show grades, but a TR for 'transferred'. They also did not accept all courses from the other two schools, only those that applied to my major and most general classes. Should I get transcripts from the other schools?


2. I am currently in the process of getting my TEFL certification. I am doing it through FIU and they do not have a set date of completion since there is no time limit to complete it. Is there anything anyone suggests to do to complete that requirement to prove completion date?

1. Yes, you will need to get transcripts from those other schools.
2. If there's no set date you must have completed it by, you at least know that you will have it finished by or before you depart for Japan. That can help you determine a more exact date. Confer with your instructor over what to put for a precise date. You will also need a letter on official letterhead confirming that you are enrolled in this course and by when you are expected to finish it. Do your best to get some sort of firm date, as we might not be able to accept it otherwise.

If we are applying for early placement and plan to graduate during the completion of the fall semester (Dec 2011), do we need to submit Part 8 (Transcripts of all University/College courses) or are we just required to submit Part 10 (Proof of graduation date/current enrollment status) or do we still need to submit all 3 regardless..? I would also like to express my frustration with the whole FBI background check, well more particularly the whole acquisition of fingerprinting in the state of NJ.

Those requirements do not change based upon your requested departure time.

If you do not currently have a Bachelor's degree, you have to provide proof of enrollment and proof of anticipated date of graduation (if you already had a Bachelor's degree, you would need to provide proof of graduation). Transcripts from all attended universities are required for all applicants.

A background check is customary for a lot of positions when you are applying to work with children.

I started the application process and I was wondering is interviews are a guarantee if the application is not disqualified. If not are interviews granted based on the applications?
