I've always liked 牛乳...「ぎゅうぅぅぅにゅうぅぅぅ!」*grins* It even sounds fun!
Although I've recently found myself using いきなり a lot...
Oh, and さすが is great, too.
And ジャガイモ, because potatoes are just fantastic.
Plus the kanji for けいたい(携帯)is super cool...
And... (^^;)

For those that can't read kana yet, those words read:

gyuuuunyuuuu! (milk) - I've gotta say that's one of my favourite Japanese words too :)
ikinari (suddenly)
sasuga (often translated in subtitles as "as expected from...")
jagaimo (potato)
keitai (not sure what this means)

keitai (携帯) is used with denwa (電話) which means cell phone, mobile phone, etc...

絶好調 Zekkouchou meaning to be in top shape/things are going very well. According to some Japanese friends you can use this to refer to your health and/or how things are going in general. Try using it as an answer to (O)-genki desu ka? Zekkouchou desu!! Your Japanese friend may be taken aback that you know such a random word.

I also love the word 幸せ太り Shiawasebutori which I learned recently from the (Not) the waiting game thread. It refers to putting on weight from the good life and is usually in reference to the married life.

危ない (abunai meaning dangerous) is my favorite word.

By the way,
who here speaks Japanese pretty well already or comes from an ethnically Japanese family?

I actually already posted in this thread, but after I did I realized what my favourite Japanese word is: とりあえず (Toriaezu). It means "by the way" or "in any case". I use that word A LOT, like twice every 3 sentences...I'm trying to stop it though XD

Still find it hilarious :D

Oh my god.

Mine is おととい。the day before yesterday for those who don't know, I just always hear it in my head like in the most stereotypical, deep Akira Kurosawa samurai voice and it makes me laugh every time.

Since this is my first post, I'm from California, USA, trilingual, white enough to be dyed with bleach and hope to do JET after I get my bachelor's in two years. こんばんわ。

なんでやねん!

I also really like 玄同 (げんどう), meaning 'to hide one's intelligence to avoid being different from the common people'. The fact that there's a specific word for that in Japanese is just awesome.

I like 心地よい (kokochiyoi) - comfortable/comfy. I especially like to say it when im tucked up in my warm bed or under the kotatsu on a windy winter's day

I just started learning Japanese and am always inflicting my family with a random Japanese word followed by the wild proclamation "Am I not vay vay cool?". Anyway, now, whenever my brother see's me studying he goes: koneeeechiwaaaaaaaa! [obviously this is not the correct spelling, just typing it how he says it] in a really funny high pitched voice. It's only my favourite Japanese word when he says it.

I took Judo classes for about 10 years, and not ones of my favorite moves, but one that was fun to say was Sasai Tsurikomi Ashi- or lifting pulling ankle block. I also loved it when the referee would said "Hajime!" or "Go!"
