I suppose what I put was not quite accurate. Stage two isn't so much 'homesick' as a gloom. Feeling like you don't fit, feeling like you try and are turned down at every turn. Yes, some people are more susceptable to it, but I have yet to meet a single JET who didn't go through stage two blues. Obviously you're not sad all the time, or homesick for a month straight... but nerves get short, tempers shorter, and everything, even stupid small shoot, tends to rub you the wrong way. You're quick to be sad or to get angry, and you have a chip on your shoulder that is visible to almost everyone around you, even if you can't see it yourself.
I'm just trying to give a reality check -- it will last longer than two weeks for the vast majority of people.
