Thanks Yarantoiken and Naju,

I called them up but their hands are tied by the deadline so unfortunately I must bow out of the 2012 programme thanks to royal mail :(
Definitely going to follow up on any letters i post for the rest of my life!

But on the flip side, one person less on the Alternate list makes everyone else's chances that bit better! As a classic song from 'The Life of Brian' goes.. Always look on the bright side of life..

Goodluck and godspeed to all!

Yikes. You are taking it incredibly well, and still managing to look on the bright side and throw some kind words out there. With that outlook you are bound to get far!
Good luck with everything x

None that I'm aware of.

I sent my medical certificate in today after my doctor finished filling it in with my x-ray results. :)

Just waiting on my police check and then it's entirely out of my hands.

I'm not holding much hope for upgrades before next Tuesday [after the bank holiday weekend]...
Interview 17/01/12, Interviewed on 30/01/12, Alternate status on 14/04/12...16/05/12 All documents are confirmed as being in order.

This is such bad news Bazzle260. I also have utmost respect for you being able to see the bright side that someone else will have a better chance because you couldn't take part! Good luck with whatever you have planned instead, i'm sure that you being such a kind and positive person it will work out for you!

Nothing here. I don't understand why they needed to wait until now anyway. Surely anyone who declines will have sent in their reply form ages ago, so they could have called one of us to take their place? The Americans have been getting upgrades before their paperwork deadline.

Bazzle260- did you send it in recorded delivery? Must be really sickning for that to happen. You would assume that a first class, correctly addressed letter would reach its destination with no problem but for some reason it hasn't. Really sorry mate :|

Thanks for the reminder Jason about the docs. After my disasterous appointment last week, I left with a 'your regular doc will call you, we'll keep your forms here'. Not heard a peep and they still have my health form. I should chase them tomorrow. I dropped off my wee wee sample on Monday- wonder how much I'll have to pay them to dip a stick in it??

Hi, another alternate here. I tried emailing the embassy to find out about my position on the reserve list and I was informed that they are not allowed to give out such information, which is a shame. So, anyone had a phone call yet? Please post on here if you do, I am curious to know! Good luck everyone :)

That's awesome!

Have you been upgraded as a CIR or ALT?

That's fantastic news, well done! :D

@SakuraHoshi I have been wondering the same thing, why they would wait, but then it dawned on me that maybe it's because they didn't have any declines/disqualifications...

I know it was probably different with the events of last year, but they didn't start upgrading until May 7th and there were upgrades then so hopefully that won't be the issue...!
