I went for my TB results today but I'm still confused as to whether or not I need an x-ray. Anyone else had the test where they inject a liquid under your skin, then you go back two days later?
Anyway, the nurse said my result was a slight false positive, but said something along the lines of "9mm is within the guidelines that we deem to be safe enough for you to be protected against TB, and that you are immunised." I then told her that if I get a false positive, then I need an x-ray according to JET. But she didn't really seem to understand me. She said I'll be getting a letter from the hospital in a couple of weeks detailing my result, and that I should send that in with my certificate of health. She also gave me a blue A5 sized card with some of the TB result details, with a big N/A written across the chest x-ray part. Because she didn't really answer my question about whether or not I need an x-ray, I'm gonna have to call our lovely JET man on Monday to ask if this is sufficient or not. Does anyone know what on earth has just happened with me? Lol....
