Mine was delivered on the 18th, but I haven't received and email yet. :/

I think I posted something earlier about having delivery confirmed but that was only because I rang them up as Royal Mail were being total idiots with their online system and I wanted to make sure they'd received it.

I never got confirmation of my acceptance letter, but I sent by tracked post so I know its there.

I hope by the end of today I will be ready to send off my health form.
Got my eye test done at boots and everything else done for free at my mums work - it helps that she's a radiologist :D

Hey guys,

Thought I'd drop in (finally) and check to see how everyone's doing. I'm extremely happy to have been shortlisted for JET 2012 and look forward to meeting you in London and departing with some of you from Edinburgh.

I was one of those who got my health certificate and reply filled out and sent away super quick (next day) only to find out the TB test requirement. I received an email from JET thanking me for returning the forms but asking me to arrange a TB test. Later, we were all informed of this via Twitter and email.

My GP has arranged my TB test via Depatment of Health / Public Health. She charged me £18 for the health certificate but I haven't been told if I'm being charged for the TB test. We have to get it, so I'll just pay whatever is asked. She said a seaman had made the same request earlier in the week, so the Public Health folks will do the same for me.

I got my Police check underway soon after getting shortlisted too. My local station's subject access request form had boxes to tick for regional and PNC checks so I just ticked them all.

Aside from all this, I'm still trying to get used to life wthout that exruciating wait for the result from JET. It was so rough wasn't it?! Trying to get as organised as possible in advance cause I just know departure date is gonna creep up fast!

Hope all is going well with you guys too.

Hey!

Great to see some more shortlisters on the forums! Always nice to find out who we might be working with in the summer! I've got my health check booked for Friday and then I'll get my GP to refer me for an X-ray sometime the week after. Police forms were sent of last week so hopefully should get those back about the same time as I get my X-ray results :D

Definitely loving not having to panic about JET anymore, although that has sort of been replaced by my finals that I have this week! Once those are over it'll all be about getting everything organised for finally leaving for Japan! EXCITING :P

Ooo I'll be going from Edinburgh airport too. I wonder how many people will be departing from there. Everyone seems to be leaving from Heathrow.
Well, I wish that after finally finding out about being shortlisted, the anxiety of not knowing would go away. However, it seems that it's only made me worry about new things instead, like not graduating, failing something, not getting the police check in time etc. There's so many things that can go wrong between here and the departure dates, it's driving me crazy. I think I'm doomed to be an eternal pessimist haha. On a lighter note, I too hope to see everyone on the forums in London :) We should identify each other by username :D

Argh

This is so difficult, thanks to Vil0xai I was able to get my TB test sorted, even though my Doctors rang back and said that they're charging me £80 for the form, plus the cost of an xray.
I phoned up Mr Jet Man, who I love, he just makes you so much less stressed I get what you all mean now. I said can my TB test and medical be filled in on different forms.
He's now said that the TB nurses are not able to fill in the TB test bit on my form? It has to be my Doctor? So now basically I have to wait for my TB test on the 9th May, wait for the result on 11th May , and then go to my Doctors for my health check? If my results then come back positive from the TB test, which may well happen because I've had the TB Vaccination, I will then need to be referred for a chest xray from my Doctor?

I thought I had plenty of time for this to be sorted, but it#'s going to be pushing it, if i don't even get referred until the week ending 18th May?
My other option is changing docotr but they've said it will take 6 - 8 weeks to transfer my paperwork (up the road) grrr

It does take the wee wee doesn't it. I should be okay myself but I feel the frustration for people who may very well not be able to meet the deadline through no fault of their own.

Apparently the Doctor forgot to note the condition of my lungs on the form, so have to go back in to see her. I'll just get her to do it along with confirming my TB test results, I guess.

I hear you there... My medical is on Thursday and hopefully I'll be referred for an x-ray shortly afterwards. Going to cost around the £100 mark I think. :(

Also, I sent off my PNC request form last week and the Post Office tracker says it's been delivered but I haven't had any notifications sent to me at all. Is it too early to start worrying/making phone calls to pester ACRO? :S

Also, haven't been active on the forums lately so I hope everyone is well and isn't too stressed out over this paperwork!! Hope you get your medical and TB test sorted soon Suzie :)
