This is the bar we're going to for Happy Hour, according to the schedule given to us. Anyone been here before? The cheapest thing on the menu is $5 Budweiser! Well, hopefully it will be cheaper during happy hour... http://www.facesandnames.com/

OMG, I read the email on my phone and totally missed this vital information. I didn't even see the schedule attachment! I have the excitement level of receiving a brand new email from Noriko! YAY!! I bet they worked something out with the bar where we get even cheaper drinks or a group discount or something, or maybe even a flat-fee nomihodai type thing! Yayyyy!

I would find a way to crash in the city if they hosted a nomihodai!

Hey guys, looks like flight info is out!! It's from NTA and not directly from JET though, so just wanted to see if everyone else got it and that it's legit? Maybe I'll just shoot an email to the office to be sure. (paranoid)

I have to admit that I'm disappointed--of the nine flights available, all BUT Delta are partner airlines for ANA and JAL (I have mileage cards with them). :( Guess there's no frequent flier miles to be gained from this flight. (Maybe I'll be luckier for the flight fom Tokyo to Kobe. <.<)

Now I'm sad/worried, because I didn't get my flight info :( Is EVERYONE getting it? I assume it's through email, not mail? If it's mail, that lessens my worry since I'm farther away.

No, my friend who's also through the NY Consulate also hasn't gotten her email yet, so you're not the only one. She was worrying about it too (and then I was secondhand-worrying XD). And yes, it's through email, which is why we were both confused. This is just me making things up, but maybe they have two different flights coming from NY, and the second one isn't taken care of yet/not listed on the page the rest of us did get. But I really don't know. I hope you guys find out soon!

Phew, well it's reassuring that I'm not the only one who didn't receive any flight information either.

I did, however, receive an email about a Language Course and Homestay in Fukushima but the way it's worded, I'm not sure if it's only for incoming Fukushima JETs. I haven't received any placement information whatsoever so my natural inclination is to believe I'll be headed somewhere in Fukushima if noone else from other areas received this email.

It's usually two fifty pound bags and one carryone plus purse/backpack ...at least that's my plan :)

According to This, we get two free checked bags [50 lbs (23 kg)
62 inches (157 cm) when you total length+width+height)] and " You may also carry on one bag and one small personal item at no charge. Visit our Carry-on Baggage section for more information." (towards the top of the page)

So, 2 checked, 1 carry-on, 1 personal.

I didn't check the restrictions on the carryon/personal, but they're there. :)

So...we're not in economy? (Unless I'm reading it wrong)

Nope...we are in the cattle car...worse than economy :P

Economy riders do get the above mentioned....I think if we were higher we would be allowed more luggage without cost....but we are definitely in economy
