I've started thinking about how I'm going to write my personal statement, because I know I procrastinate when it comes to writing things. Especially things about myself ! I find it so hard to sell myself

I'm lucky that members of my family are teachers and that I have a good friend already on the JET program to help me out, and I have no doubt that I'll have to re-write it maybe 4 or 5 times before it's perfect. Someone told me this has to be the best essay of my life, so I'm determined to make it so!

Currently working with the local guides and brownies to gain experience as well as my school kids. Doing a Japanese culture evening with them tomorrow, wish me luck!

Just make sure it's accredited before you give then any money.

Also, relax, get off the forums, do the things you're talking about but get out of here. This place will just drive you nuts if you stay the whole time. The waiting is bad enough!

I mean the first time I applied I spent so much time prepping and planning and getting ready and I didn't get in. Second time I did it all in under a month, on a whim, and I got in!

This application process is so difficult. The selection process very confusing.
I started my application quite late and was accepted. I think my SOP was OK, I wouldn't say it was great. I am pretty sure my English test wasn't amazing either.
I think my saving grace was the actual interview. Always smiled and tried not to look confused when I didn't understand a question lol!
For those of you applying for next year, good luck! :D
Oh! Be prepared to forget how to spell some words in British English! After nearly 7 months of correcting American English, I am now starting to doubt my spelling.
