We are still waiting for placement notification. I think SA has been forgotten, seeing that most countries have been notified already, including Southern Hemisphere countries like NZ and Aus.

Hello fellow South Africans! I see the 2013 applications are now open! :D Anybody new/old applying this year?

eFred, I see you've been very busy improving your application. You've joined classes at NK? What lesson are you on?
HS, I sincerely hope you will be applying again! Don't give up. The last 2.5 months in Japan have been GREAT! I still haven't fully found my feet, in terms of lesson planning. But I'm sure that'll all change as I get more experience.

If anybody has any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'd love to help out where I can. Oh yeah, I suppose i should mention i'm a first year JET based in Kyoto-shi. Originally from Cape Town.

God, I miss a braai so damn much!

Yup. On lesson 7 or 8 now. You were there too? Already started filling in my app. Thanks for the encouragement byproduct but it has sucked majorly not to have gone to Japan. Oh well. New year approaching and all that. Hope you're having an awesome time! Where are you placed now again? Near Sean?

Yup, I was one of the 6 NK'ers that left this year. :)

I'm sure it must have sucked, BUT, at least you have a years job experience on your CV, and you have grown as a person. Chin up! :D You're still young, so all is good! Good luck for this year!!

Nope, I'm pretty far from Sean. I'm almost in the middle of Japan, in Kyoto City. Loving the autumn weather, it's finally cold! Summer here was absolutely terrible. Now I know how people from Durban feel like...

What questions are you asked at the interview ? This may sound wierd but I'm still in highschool and I want to go to Japan and JET is one of my options , so I would like to be fully prepared
