I phoned the Embassy a couple of weeks back and asked them. They said that Tokyo should get back to them early in April, most probably by the 10th.

Kudos to you for phoning the embassy! :D I just hope they stick to their schedule then...or I might go out and buy some more chocolate and indulge in some comfort eating.

Aspiring South African JETs 2012

Postby hatefulsandwich » Tue Apr 10, 2012 10:41 pm

Hm, I'm not sure I'm going to hold my breath on that one as the day draws to a close, but I'm a nervous wreck nonetheless.

EDIT: I'm keen to know whether we should expect email or post. Anyone know? I strongly suspect email all things considered, but stranger things have happened.

Since we received everything via email, I think it's more likely that we'll have email notifications.

I agree wit HS, there's like an hour left until the work day is done, so we'll probably not get it today. Sadness.

When the US results started coming in (around about midnight/1am our time) I had a mini breakdown and sent mad messages to my friends. Oh why oh why do they make us suffer so? :insert woeful gaze:

Hah, I haven't told anyone the results have started coming in for other people. I don't want to be nagged about it and I want to have a bit of breathing room when it comes to letting people know about my results.

Glad to see that I'm not the only one losing my mind waiting for these results.
Pity nothing has come through yet :(
Suppose I just need to chill and not think about it, wish it was easier.

Hey guys :) wow it's been a while since I've posted but have done my share of lurking the forums for the last week or so. HS and eFred so glad to see you're still around! I've missed the SA thread I wish more of us would join the forums already and more importantly may a great deal of us be shortlisted :D Welcome Gordon!

My nerves are SHATTERED. I think we'll probably receive our notifications late tomorrow but possibly Thursday at the earliest...you know according to African time. I really don't want to be put on the alternate list imagine the AGONY I just can't deal.

Sterkte vir almal :)

Ok, I just got off the phone with Ryan...(dun,dun,duuun!)

Basically our results have not come in yet. It's still being processed.
We can expect to be notified sometime this week or next week (countries like the US have got more staff to handle the notifications etc. They're on top of their game with the JET admin.) So ours might still be a while

Nice one M-Chan! ^5 8)

Pheew, guess I can "relax" a bit, and get on with work. Hoping to hear back today killed my productivity! I guess that means we'll play "the waiting game" just a little while longer, ey?

Aspiring South African JETs 2012

Ugh, I landed up having weird dreams that some applicant had started stalking one of the interviewers and they had to start the assessment of applications all over again. Stupid brain.

I don't know what to do with myself at the moment. I wish I had a job or something to keep my distracted. Back to ye ol' television series and books for me. I've been completely avoiding all things Japanese since my interview, actually. I suppose it's my mind's way of not obsessing or something.
