My name is Matt and I'm applying at the Toronto consulate. It has been a long two months...first waiting for my self addressed postcard (it never came ). Hopefully it was lost in the mail and not my application package that I worked so hard on. It would be nice to get an email either way so I know they received my package. Anyways no word yet either! Good luck to everyone! Congrats Jengo, anyone else hear anything?

Jeez, reading through this topic has gotten my heart pounding, especially after reading that someone received their interview info! My name is Colin, I’m a Mechanical EIT recent graduate of University of Victoria. I participated in the Canada-Japan Co-op Program in 2008/2009 and very much enjoyed my 9 months working at Osaka Gas. I met some drunk Australian JET program participants on a train home from work one day in Osaka and they seemed to be enjoying themselves, inspiring me to make a mental note to apply in the near future! I would love to go back and experience the teaching environment (the industrial environment was wonderful and my old supervisor recently added me on Facebook ).

I was wondering when I would expect to see some kind of notification so thought I’d check out the forums and here I am. I hope we can all make it through! がんばってみなさん！

I'm writing to tell you all I got an interview, and it's in Halifax like I wanted it to be!! I actually didn't get an email yet but I got a phone call. The lady said I would receive an email shortly. Has anyone else got a phone call before getting an email? Anyway, I am excited that I passed the paper application stage!
