I just read that note from Miami, was absolutely lovely! Really nice to hear that basically we ARE what they want for a JET, just there were so many good applicants! Yeah that's a really nice idea, I'm not sure if it's actually possible on this forum, but I will try and send some sort of private message to you with my skype address.


I guess we've waited all these months, a few (possibly EIGHT!! ) more won't hurt us!!!

To the alternates, I feel your pain. I never felt shittier than when I opened that letter. If I have but one piece of advice it's to hand in all the paper work. I know this may seem obvious but last year it was so late that they gave us all the forms as well because there would be no time to fill them out if we were to be upgraded much later, which had the added cruel effect of making me think that because it was a heavier envelope, I was sure to have gotten short-list. I was so gutted that I was pissed off and wasnt even going to bother filling in my alternate reply form and do the medical test and Garda check etc. The only reason I ended up doing them was because I was upgraded early enough to give me some time to fill them in.

TLDR; Alternates, fill in all the necessary forms, even if you feel like just moving on.

Shortlisted. It almost doesn't seem real. I think it'll be over the weekend before it sinks in. Sorry to hear of those who didn't get it or those on the alternative list. This was my second time applying so don't lose hope and there are plenty of alternatives to consider.

ha ha hell yeah Maynooth buddies all the way here's hoping although a criminal record would def be news to me ha ha ... please fingerprints definitely be unique like biology claims as for tb i had the X-ray stuffs done with the first application so they seemed ok I prob should ask if i need to send the desk another copy though
