it says to pick a panel.....umm how? I mean if its arbitrary as I think it is then why give me the option at all?

So they can try to accommodate you if they can?

I guess I am just confused what the difference is if some of them are at the same time with the sole difference being the different people. I am probably making too big a deal about it

To drive or to take the Metro....hmmm enough decisions for one night. To Bed!

I just made mine for Thursday 23rd at 1:30 in D.C.

I did the same over analyzing the panel thing! Cause 4 of them had a 1:30 opening! I finally just decided to go with the first 1:30 available alphabetically lol definitely over thinking it!

I need to decide metro or having someone drop me off, but I think I will do a test run over the weekend since my parents live on the metro. Oh and just an FYI for D.C. people planning to take the metro, they have been doing some construction stuff that is causing trains to stop and get delayed more than usual. Also the Dupont circle exit that points you in the proper walking direction of the embassy is closed at the moment because they are fixing the escalators. So I would allow extra time and check the metro website for any construction delays just in case!

I think I'm going to try getting a hotel within walking distance of the embassy or just take a taxi. With all the metro construction craziness, I figure it would be best to avoid it completely.

Apparently, my consulate is too big to have us schedule them....so they were assigned.

Us NYC people still don't know individual dates/times yet. They're going to snail mail out that information later this week, so we'll have less than a week to make arrangements. Talk about cutting it close, huh?

I need to request PTO at work and five days notice is not really adequate. I don't mind that we can't schedule, but not knowing even the date until so late is a legitimate issue. Oooh well; at the end of the day, we have interviews, and that's a good problem to have.

I'm going to end up taking a sick day because I would somehow feel guilty taking a vacation day with less than a week's notice. I only live about 90 mins from the city by train, but if I happen to have an early slot I'll probably end up going in the night before and staying over, just to be safe.
