Btw, do we--US interviewees--have a teaching lesson to do or is that a requirement only for other countries?

I have not heard of a lesson plan being needed for the interview.

I have also never heard of that... eikawa interviews, yes, but not for JET.

I am not even touching the lists... all I know/care about is that I have an interview invitation with my name on it

Anybody from DC scheduled an interview yet? I think the email said we'd hear back by Wednesday but just thought I'd check anyway. It said the interviews would be on the 23rd and 24th which is perfect timing for me, Hope to see some of you there!

I just got off the phone with Guam. They were really nice. They're still waiting for the files from DC, which were sent last week Thur or Fri. Once they get the files they will confirm with the interviewers and decide a date. They said right now they're looking at the 24th or 28th. Seeing as it's only one day, I don't think there will be many applicants.

So hopefully by the end of the week we'll know.

I started to go through each number of the original list individually after putting them in numerical order to look for duplicates but after getting half way through it, I figured if there were really 90 something numbers missing that I should have run into at least one duplicate by now and I didn't. That's when I just put both of them into their own word files and stripped the headings and got the same word count for each. I have no idea how he came to the conclusion that near 100 numbers were missing. :/

In the realm of personal good news, I took my suit pants to be hemmed today and not only is it only around $16 to do, but it will also take them until Friday to return my pants to me and my interview is next wednesday so it's cutting it kinda close. IF ANYONE needs to get pants hemmed or clothes/suits fitted for the interview, do it NOW so that there is plenty of time to have the work done and also possibly drycleaned before your interviews! Don't wait!

He probably counted the rows wrong and got that number. Or decided to troll. One of the two.

Pardon me for my mistake, I most certainly wasn't trying to cause a panic or uproar. Yes boo at me for making a mistake. Now that I've recounted yes I was in fact incorrect. Yeah... I really don't think the OFFICIAL JET FORUMS are a good place for any type of trolling. Even so, now I can re-adjust my calculations! YAY!

I haven't gotten my email from DC yet either...hopefully we'll get it soon, because I can't wait to get it scheduled and finalize travel plans and such.

I haven't gotten mine either. I'm kind of anxious to get it scheduled, at least so I know what day it'll be--although I'm not really sure why as the exact date doesn't really make any difference to my travel plans or anything. Maybe I'll see you guys there!
