Forum names

Postby patrick » Sun Jun 14, 2009 10:09 pm

I was surfing thru recently and noticed something.

BREADCRUMBS.

Breadcrumbs are those backlinks at the top of each forum that allow you to go up a level. For example, the breadcrumb for the area I'm in right now is: JET Programme Forum Index -> Rules of Conduct/Technical Information and Support.

I was thinking that names of the forums are a bit long in title, which in turn makes the breadcrumb names also really long.

I was thinking shorter forum names would make the breadcrumbs easier to read/view.

Just a thought...

Personally, I like the longer names. For people who aren't particiarly internet savvy, it's easy to see where you need to go and what to do at a glance.

As this forum isn't nesting forums within forums, it shouldn't be that much of a problem, I don't think.

That's just my opinion though.
