One of the strengths of the JET Programme, and a feature that differentiates it from others, is the extensive support system in place to help JET participants. This support system can help address any difficulties JET participants and contracting organisations may have, such as helping JET participants understand their terms and conditions, finding an English-speaking doctor nearby, or dealing with challenging situations like culture shock, interpersonal misunderstandings or mental health concerns.
The following chart provides a visual guide to the basic structure of the support system. Assistance for JET participants in resolving difficulties can be found at any level, but often the closer the support the easier it is to help. Of course, JET participants are welcome to contact any of these resources directly.
