As the JET Programme celebrates its 20th year, there are approximately 41,000 JET alumni spread across the world who have made Japan their home for a period of a year to a maximum of, now, 5 years. Some remain in Japan as a result, while others return to their home countries to begin their next step in life.
In this section, former JET participants can find important information about the JET Alumni Association (JETAA), which is an independent organisation comprised of former JET participants. As of July 2006, JETAA is active in 15 countries and consists of 50 chapters that boast a total of approximately 21,000 members.
In this section you can also view “JET Streams”, the JET Programme Alumni Association Newsletter, as well as find essential information about how to file and obtain your pension refund. You can also update your address details with CLAIR via the JETAA Membership and Entry Update Form. Providing us with your most recent contact information will allow us to notify you of any updates, as well as inform you of any JET-related events that are held in your area.
