As the JET Programme celebrates its 26th year, there are approximately 56,000 JET alumni spread across the world who made Japan their home for a period of one to five years. Some remain in Japan as a result, while others begin their next step in life by returning to their home countries.
In this section, former JET participants can find important information about the JET Alumni Association (JETAA), which is an independent organisation comprised of former JET participants. As of April 2013, JETAA is active in 17 countries and regions and consists of 52 chapters that boast a total of approximately 25,000 members.
